Ricardo Reina serves as the Director of Facilities Space Planning, Infrastructure, and Safety for the Fulton Schools of Engineering (FSE) at Arizona State University. In this role, he leads a multidisciplinary team of space planners, project managers, safety experts, and facilities professionals. Together, they are dedicated to advancing the mission of FSE, with a strong focus on the development and operation of cutting-edge engineering research laboratories.
Ricardo joined ASU in 2024, bringing with him over 13 years of leadership experience in facilities management and construction. Prior to his current role, he spent more than nine years as a Regional Facilities Manager in the aerospace and electronics manufacturing industry, where he oversaw complex facilities operations and infrastructure initiatives. Before that, he worked for over four years as a Construction Manager, leading the design and construction of healthcare facilities for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
Ricardo was raised in northern Mexico's Sonoran Desert, and he has lived in the Phoenix metro area for the past 20 years. As a proud Sun Devil, he combines his deep connection to the local community with a commitment to fostering innovation and excellence within ASU's engineering programs.
