Dr. Kimberly Crowe is a veterinarian and is residency trained. She is a native of New York City, but she has lived in many parts of the country. She obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois @ Chicago in 2006, followed by her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from St. Matthew’s University in 2010. Dr. Crowe completed her clinical year of veterinary school at the University of Pennsylvania. She stayed at UPenn’s New Bolton Center, their large animal hospital, where she completed an internship and residency in food animal ambulatory medicine, with a primary focus on dairy herd medicine and surgery. While Dr. Crowe is relatively new, starting in 2024 at ASU, she was a tenured professor at Vermont State University prior to coming to ASU.
She teaches and advises pre-veterinary students in addition to working with students from other related degree programs on our Polytechnic campus. The courses Dr. Crowe teaches include Animal Anatomy, Animal Physiology, Small Animal Veterinary Topics, Large Animal Diseases, and Animal Reproduction. She is a co-advisor for the ASU Pre-Vet Club and a mentor in the CISA Emerging Professionals program.
Dr. Crowe has traveled to seven different countries for Study Abroad programs. She has a passion for international and cross-cultural education in both veterinary and conservation medicine. She will co-mentor her first Study Abroad group with ASU students to an 8th country, Brazil, in June 2026. During her tenure in Vermont, she also trained in veterinary acupuncture and Tui Na and has a strong interest in the combination of both western medicine and traditional Chinese veterinary medicine to keep animals healthy.
