As Lead Experience Designer for Community Partners at ASU, Olivia works with partners to co-design challenge-based learning experiences that are audience/discipline inclusive and prompt human creativity to leverage technologies, both proven and emerging, to respond to real-world problems that are persistent or forecasted. Olivia's expertise lies in producing high-quality hackathons, idea jams, and other experiences for the ASU community, including WP Carey and Global Futures Laboratory, as well as esteemed partners such as OpenAI, TIAA, Verizon, and Zoom. Since 2023, Olivia has served as a Specialist Advisor to QS ImpACT, where she co-founded the QS ImpACT Skills Challenge, shaping its vision, designing the instructional framework, and co-leading a multidisciplinary team of subject matter experts to deliver an engaging virtual hackathon experience for over 500 global participants. With a keen focus on co-design principles, she produces audience-focused experiences that inspire participants to envision future-focused possibilities and collaborate creatively toward those goals through principled innovation.
Additionally, Olivia is a trained interdisciplinary artist whose imagination lives at the intersection of creative technology and performance. In 2022, she directed, produced, designed and performed in Hello, World! an immersive performance for very young children featuring 360* projection design, performance and sound, debuting at the i.d.e.a. Museum in Mesa, AZ before performing an excerpt at the National Sawdust in Brooklyn, NYC. She holds an MFA in Interdisciplinary Digital Media (Theater) from ASU's Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts and a BFA in Expanded Media from the University of Kansas School of the Arts, in addition to her BA in Political Science and International Studies from Baker University.
