Matsuda's research interests include the use of English as an international language and the pedagogical implications of the global spread of English.

Agra Rajapakse is has a PhD in Linguistics and Applied Linguistics from Arizona State University and is a Faculty Associate attached to the Writing Programs at the Department of English at ASU.
