Vanessa Fonseca-Chávez is a Chicana scholar whose research focuses on place studies, rural communities, and the legacies of colonialism in Chicanx and Indigenous literature and culture.

Free is Associate Professor of English, affiliate faculty in Gender and Women's Studies, and Barret Honors College faculty.

Capielo Rosario’s research interests include Latinx psychology, migration processes, and how coloniality impacts the mental health of Latinx communities in the United States, particularly Puerto Ricans.

Harleen Kaur received her doctorate in sociology at the University of California, Los Angeles. She is a Teaching Assistant Professor for the Sanford School. Her background and research interests are in racism, state formation, and belonging.
