Ryan is an undergraduate researcher and naval midshipman focusing on speech and hearing science, health humanities, and medicine. He aspires to become a dual-board family and aerospace medicine physician in the Navy.

Salekin serves as an assistant professor at the School of Biological and Health Systems Engineering and as a graduate faculty in Computer Science, advising PhD students in the Computer Science program.
