Jonathan Davis was born and raised in the Phoenix Metropolitan Area. He orginally attended Polytechnic of NYU as both an NCAA basketball player and an Honors college student. He completed his undergraduate degree at Liberty University earning both a Masters and Bachelors in History before returning home to Arizona. He has since earned a MAS in GIS from Arizona State University. In his professional work he provides GIS technical support in public health, resource management, emergency services, and community planning for American Indian communities in Arizona, Utah, and Nevada.
He enjoys converting history into stories that can be portrayed spatially. His efforts in digital storytelling relating to political history have been featured in the Washington Post, Pew Research Center, Vox.com, Business Insider, and USA Today. At home he is a father of 2 and enjoys playing baskeball, maintaining a backyard orchard, disc golf, and exploring Arizona when time permits.
