Long Bio

Melanie is currently the Collections Manager and Assistant NAGPRA Coordinator for Cultural Items at the Center for Archaeology and Society Repository (CASR) in the School of Human Evolution and Social Change (SHESC).

She has over 10 years of collections and NAGPRA experience throughout the state of Arizona. She has a concentration of anthropological collections (primarily archaeological). She received her masters in museum studies for Johns Hopkins. She has an interest in pre-contact ceramics as well as bettering the collections field as a whole.
