Jeffery K. Cochran is Professor Emeritus of Industrial
Engineering in the Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering at Arizona
State University. Dr. Cochran received his PhD from Purdue University
in 1984. His industrial experience includes Battelle Labs, the Los
Alamos National Lab, NASA's LARS Lab, and dozens of funded research
projects. He is an author of over 150 scholarly publications, and
serves on six journal editorial boards. His most current research
focus was optimizing capacity and flow in hospitals with an emphasis
on whole hospital interactions. This research was conducted in the
Health and Human Systems Laboratory which he co-directed.
