Alexandra Aragon is the Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships and Online Programs for Barrett, The Honors College at Arizona State University. In this role, she works with Barrett leadership, faculty, and university and external partners to advance opportunities that strengthen honors education. Her work spans strategic partnerships, academic planning, online education, experiential learning, professional pathways, and innovation, with a particular focus on creating meaningful opportunities for students. She also provides strategic leadership for Barrett Online.
Alex has spent nearly two decades at Barrett, beginning her career in academic advising and direct student support before moving into leadership across academic services, partnerships, experiential learning, and program development. Her work has included helping launch Barrett Online, expanding opportunities for honors students to engage in research and experiential learning, and building partnerships across ASU and with employers, community organizations, and other external partners.
What has remained consistent throughout Alex’s career is a belief in the power of relationships and in the possibility of making things better. She enjoys bringing people together around a shared purpose, asking questions about how things could work differently, and finding creative solutions to complex challenges. She is energized by work that turns ideas into meaningful opportunities for students and helps organizations grow and evolve.
Raised in upstate New York, Alex has been proud to call Arizona home since 2008.
