Jade Barger

Audio Engineer and Theatre Technician with a specialty in live session recording and audio production for theatre with nearly 20 years of live music, recording and music and theatre production both on nationwide tours and in Arizona with artists of all varieties, from multiple-Grammy award winning artists to guerilla theatre groups, touring punk rock music festivals, megachurch production netowrks as an engineer advisor and trainer, audio software developers and even children's theatre. During Covid, she also started working with software developers and a few audio technology companies to develop end-point diagnostic and dynamic live cue software plugins for digital audio workstation use in live performance environments.  

Previously held positions include Resident Audio Engineer at The Nash, a Jazz music venue and music education outreach in cooperation with Jazz in AZ along with over a half dozen freelance chief engineer positions throughout the valley.  With an AAS in Audio Production Technology from Phoenix College. Other past theatre production credits include positions as Technical Director in Residence at Soul Invictus Theater, Phoenix Center for The Arts, Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Phoenix, Owner of Sonic Jackalope Production Studio, Technical Director for Stagebrush Theater and with ChyroArts Venue as a stage manager and properties designer. 

After over a decade at ASU's Department of Cultural Affairs as an Audio Engineer and the Technical Director of ASU Kerr, Barger currently is the Sound and Media Supervisor  for the School of Music, Dance and Theatre at ASU Herberger Institute.
