Long Bio

Julianne is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Environmental Life Sciences program. She is an interdisciplinary scientists whose dissertation research focuses on increasing reliability of isotope analysis of modern human remains to better assist with identification efforts. She is currently the Graduate Research Associate for the National Institute of Justice (NIJ) grant funded project, "Stable Isotope Analysis as a Geospatial Tool for Identification: Intra-Individual Isotopic Variability" and was recently awarded an NIJ Graduate Research Fellowship to optimize sample preparation methods: "Isotope Analysis of Modern Remains in Forensics: Optimizing Sample Preparation Methods for Accurate and Reliable Carbonate and Collagen Isotope Analysis."
