Bailey Borman serves as the Director of Strategic Projects and Initiatives at the Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions. She has extensive experience as a higher education professional, having worked across student and academic affairs units. Bailey's work focuses on advancing the mission and vision of the Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions by identifying opportunities and mobilizing resources within the college and community to advance projects meaningful to student and community development.
Prior to this role, Bailey served as an Instructor for the Watts College and the Next Generation Service Corps from 2019-2021. She had the opportunity to teach design thinking, social entrepreneurship, and service-learning courses. Bailey's teaching portfolio centers on experiential learning and engaging students in learning activities relevant to their community context. Prior to her role as an instructor, she served as a Project Manager in the Watts College deans office, developing and advancing the College's Solution-based learning credit requirement and the Co-op and working on special projects that integrated community partners in undergraduate learning experiences. In addition to her experience working with on-campus students, Bailey also had the opportunity to manage and assist in the development of an ASU Universal Learner course, PAF 112: Identity, Service, and American Democracy.
In addition to her role at the Watts College, Bailey is also a doctoral student in the School of Community Resources and Development where she studies entrepreneurship education and community development.
