Dr. Chery is a French instructor, and a faculty director of the French language and culture in Lyon global education summer program at Arizona State University. Originally from France, she completed a BA in French and Spanish linguistics, an MA in French linguistics, and a Ph.D. in Comparative Culture and Language from Arizona State University. She also holds certificates in Computer-Assisted Language Learning (CALL) and translation studies. Dr. Chery is certified in French for Specific Purposes from the Chamber of Commerce of Paris. She has presented at national and international conferences on Languages for Specific Purposes, and Third Language Acquisition. Apart from sharing her culture and language with her students, Chery enjoys being active, trying new restaurants, and traveling.
