Michelle Oldfield is a skilled special events project manager, specializing in strategic programming and outreach partnerships. She can manage projects that create meaningful and engaging experiences for cross-sector audiences. She has 15+ years of professional experience working on programs in parks and recreation, nonprofit, sports, government, and higher education.
In addition to her full-time university staff role, she also teaches PRM 145: Special Events Management, an introductory class for undergraduates and certificate students.
Born and raised in Central Pennsylvania, Michelle (O’Donnell) Oldfield graduated from Penn State University where she majored in Advertising and Public Relations. Michelle’s minor in Recreation, Park and Tourism Management led her to begin a career in special event production. Michelle completed her Master of Public Administration (MPA) with concentration in Non-Profit Management at ASU Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions in 2014.
