Nancy Cassidy has been teaching financial and managerial accounting for over 27 years with an emphasis in Intermediate Accounting I (External Reporting I). Ms. Cassidy has taught at Texas A&M University, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and Arizona State University. Her professional experience includes assurance services with Ernst & Young as well as BKD, LLP. In May, 2017, Ms. Cassidy was honored as the recipient of the John Teets Outstanding Undergraduate Teacher Award for the W.P. Carey School of Business. In 2014, she was the recipient of the Donaldson Teaching Award for the School of Accountancy (SOA). Ms. Cassidy serves as the Barrett Honors Faculty Advisor for the SOA and has also served as faculty advisor for the Deloitte Innovative Audit Campus Challenge; a regional case competition held in Los Angeles competing with other Pac 12 schools. Other service activities include being a member of the Undergraduate Committee for the SOA, Scholarship Committe for the SOA as well as the Admissions Commitee (SOA).
