Shaundiin Yazzie (Diné/Navajo Nation) is a research project manager within The Global Futures Laboratory Office of Research Development and Strategy (ORDS); the office provides services to the affiliated GF Scientists and Scholars Network. The ORDS team works to identify ongoing needs of faculty at all levels and provide personalized, solutions-focused services based on project needs and feedback.
Her current role includes co-developing The Research Accelerator program for faculty and research assistants. These research development groups aim to create a supportive and empowering collaborative hub for scholars to develop skills and strategies to navigate their research careers here at ASU. Further, the team offers certified Strategic Doing workshops for teams interested in learning and developing a streamlined project development and management method.
Shaundiin fell into the world of project management while working for AZDES in the Division of Developmental Disabilities and enthusiastically continued pursuing it in all her following roles. She is a proud ASU double-devil, earning her second pitchfork with an M.B.A. through the W. P. Carey School of Business; additionally, she also holds a BA in Business-Tourism Development and certification in Convention Sales and Meeting Planning.
