Long Bio
Kathryn Pruitt is an assistant professor of linguistics in the Department of English at Arizona State University. Her research is in the field of phonological theory and focuses primarily on the typological modeling of linguistic stress patterns, with additional interests in prosody and intonational meaning. Her work has been published in the journals Phonology and Linguistic Inquiry as well as in book chapters. Professor Pruitt's teaching at ASU spans courses on introductory linguistics, phonetics, phonology, and morphology.
