Michele Pfund is senior associate dean for education at the W. P. Carey School of Business, where she provides strategic leadership across undergraduate and graduate academic programs. In this role, she oversees the design, delivery, and innovation of educational offerings that prepare more than 20,000 business students for success in a rapidly evolving global economy.
Previously, Professor Pfund served as senior associate dean for undergraduate programs, guiding one of the largest business schools in the country. During her tenure, undergraduate enrollment nearly doubled over a decade, growing from 12,000 to more than 24,000 students. Under her leadership, the school expanded to 14 bachelor of science majors, a bachelor of arts degree in business with 22 concentrations, 12 certificates, and 2 business minors, while securing and maintaining W. P. Carey’s consistent top 30 national ranking by U.S. News & World Report.
Professor Pfund has also served as director of the undergraduate supply chain management program and faculty director for the school’s Online MBA program—both ranked in the top five nationally in their categories by U.S. News & World Report. She was also recognized as “one of the five best online teachers in America” by OnlineSchools.com.
