Dr. Lenfesty received her PhD from Queen's University Belfast at the Institute of Cognition & Culture. In her research, she investigates the evolutionary origins of religion and morality, with a focus on mechanisms of cooperation.
She has been a post-doctoral fellow at the Center for Theological Inquiry in Princeton, the biology department at Westmont College, and ASU's the School of Human Evolution & Social Change (SHESC). She is currently an assistant professor of research and a member of Professor Thomas Morgan's ECCO (Evolution, Culture, & Cognition) lab at ASU.
