Julia Richards is a Masters of Public Administration student in the Watt’s College of Public Service and Community Solutions at Arizona State University. Julia has completed two collegiate internships with the State of Arizona and Maricopa County, observing the evaluation and implementation processes of social services for Arizona citizens. Specifically, Julia is interested in innovative solutions to increase her community’s well-being while being one of the fastest growing areas of the United States.
Before attending Arizona State University, Julia graduated from Northern Arizona University with her Bachelor’s in Public Health. After serving as an elementary school health administrator and administrator during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, she was inspired to go back to school to learn more about social service development and delivery.
Julia was born and raised in Maricopa County, and looks forward to a career in public service within the state of Arizona. When she is not engaged in work or school, Julia enjoys exploring different parts of Arizona and finding a new crafting hobby to learn.
Julia is in her final semester of her Master's of Public Administration track. She is looking forwards to pairing this knowledge with her Bachelor's of Public Health to help improve social service delivery in her home state of Arizona.
Julia participated in conducting a community needs assessment of the Longito Maasai of Tanzania in the summer of 2017. Further details on results available upon request.
