Shannon is the University Archivist for Arizona State University. She is the main point of contact for inquiries related to the history of ASU, specializing in the history of the Thunderbird School of Global Management. She facilitates the selection and acquisition of new or transferring archival collections. She is committed to cultivating and maintaining relationships with campus departments, alumni, donors, and community members. She is continually looking for opportunities to promote collections and services through outreach and engagement. She is President of the Arizona Archives Alliance and is a long-serving member of the Arizona Historical Records Advisory Board. Shannon also serves as an Advisory Board member for Project STAND which is a national project to document student activism and marginalized communities on college campuses.
