Bobbi Doherty

Bobbi Doherty is a Senior Online Course Manager in Arizona State University’s University Pathways Program, where she supports the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of Universal Learner Courses. In this role, she works with a diverse population of online learners, including first-time college students, adult and reentry learners, and students pursuing alternative pathways to university admission.

Bobbi’s professional work centers on student engagement, learner support, and success in online learning environments. She is especially interested in how motivation, self-regulated learning strategies, and meaningful course engagement can help students persist and succeed in large-scale online courses. Her experience as an online course manager informs her research and strengthens her commitment to developing learning experiences that are accessible, supportive, and responsive to students’ needs.

Bobbi holds a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education and a master’s degree in History from Arizona State University. She is currently pursuing an EdD in Education at ASU, where her research focuses on learner motivation, engagement, and completion in online courses, particularly within Universal Learner Course contexts.
