Heather MacDonald is an Instructor of Freshman Composition in the ASU Writers' Studio since 2015, with over a decade of experience teaching at the community college and university level. She has taught various transfer-level writing courses in both Southern California and the Phoenix Metro Valley, including survey of literature, critical thinking, argumentation, success strategies, creative writing, and basic composition.
Ms. MacDonald has also instructed at various campuses in the Maricopa Community College District, including Chandler-Gilbert, Estrella Mountain, and Glendale Community Colleges. Her current research interests include online education, instruction of writing courses in hybrid or "blended" formats, and research writing in the era of "Fake News."
