Tasha Telles is an English Instructor for the College of Integrative Sciences and Arts for Arizona State University, Downtown Campus teaching First-Year Composition and Writing Concentration.
Aside from teaching, Tasha has participated in ASU's TRIO Upward Bound. A program geared for first-generation and/or low-income college bound high school students; providing academic support, mentoring, and university exposure.
Tasha has served as a mentor in the African and African American Faculty and staff Association and currently serves as the Downtown Campus Rep for the Faculty Women of Color Caucus, an organization that supports the success and access for faculty women of color.
In May 2024, Tasha was awarded the Kathleen A. Glenn Award for Teaching Excellence School of Applied Sciences & Arts, with ASUs Languages and Culture unit. At the foundation of her teaching is a commitment to “brave space” pedagogy and she is committed to continue the success of offering equitable grading practices with contract grading.
