David Kim McKinnon is a clinical associate professor in the W. P. School of Business at Arizona State University. His research interests include organizational change, management and leader effectiveness.
He has worked for years in executive, leadership and consulting roles within corporations. He also worked as organization effectiveness consultant focused on partnering with senior management to improve leader, team and organizational capability. He has experience working in a variety of industries (aerospace, high technology, R & D, energy, pharmaceuticals, government, higher education) providing leadership coaching and development, change management and consultations for improving performance. He is the head of McKinnon Performance Consulting with clients ranging from PetSmart, Microsoft and NASA to the Keystone Group Limited, (Shanghai, PRC) and the Business Coaching Centre (Helsinki). Prior to ASU, he taught courses with a number of universities including UCLA, UC Santa Barbara and the Fielding Graduate University.
