Xavier joined the Cognitive Psychology Ph.D. program in the Fall of 2021 after completing his Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a Minor in Family and Human Development from ASU in the Spring of 2020. Xavier is a member of the Memory and Attention Control (MAC) Laboratory with Dr. Gene Brewer, where his research investigates prospective memory, goal pursuit, individual differences in cognition, and how chronic and acute drug use may impact cognitive abilities. In addition and in collaboration with Banner Health and Virginia Tech, investigating the use of machine learning-enhanced voltammetry to infer relative the concentrations of neuromodulators such as dopamine, serotonin, and norepinephrine, in awake epileptic patients.
