Lindsey Cantelme is an instructor in the School of Social Work. She received her master's degree in social work, bachelor's in psychology, and bachelor's in family and human development. Dr. Cantelme's research is focused on substance use and specifically women's pathways toward substance use and how exercise supports recovery. Dr. Cantelme has experience working with adolescents, children from birth to age three, families living in poverty, and immigrant families. Dr. Cantelme helped develop a non-profit organization that uses exercise to support people in recovery and and she has experience supervising students and staff.

Substance use, substance use disorders, patriarchal systems of harm, exercise as a non-clinical treatment, sexual violence on college campuses and high schools, gender violence and inequality around the world, immigration and refugees.
