Long Bio
Silvia Neretti holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design from the Faculty of Design and Arts at the Free University of Bolzano, Italy, and a Master’s in Social Design from the Design Academy Eindhoven, Netherlands. In 2016, she was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to pursue her PhD in the United States. She is currently a Doctoral Candidate at The Design School, Arizona State University. Her research focuses on design for mental health, design for health, eating disorders and healing, while her framework lies at the intersection of speculative, fictional, and ontological design; health and medical humanities; ethno-psychiatry and design anthropology; science and technology studies and new materialism; feminist theory; social justice and social design.
