Research Activity
I am an archaeologist and ethnobotanist/paleoethnobotanist primarily interested in understanding the social and environmental impacts of human landscape modification. My research focuses on ancient Maya aquaculture systems and the sustainable subsistence strategies involved with their utilization by exploring ethnobotanical, ecological, and gender-related concepts. My research is centered in Chiapas, Mexico.
