Michelle is with the Environmental Health and Safety department as the EHS Safety Inspections Manager. She has over 8 years’ experience as support staff for university chemistry laboratories in addition to teaching as an adjunct instructor for several years. She has 2 years experience in the EHS field working directly with hazardous materials and chemical inventory management and recently obtained a masters' degree from ASU in Environmental and Resource Management.
Michelle’s education and experience focused on chemical toxicology and DNA analysis. She spent over 5 years working in private laboratories analyzing the effects of toxic substances on histological samples and, later, interpreting DNA profiles for paternity testing and forensics. She is an Arizona native who enjoys spending her free time with her family and her hobbies include reading and dog sports with her border collies.
