I-Chin Lin is a PhD candidate in East Asian Languages and Civilizations and Digital Humanities certificate program at ASU. Her research interest focuses on Chinese traditional performances, especially the relationship between drama and urban culture study in the Song and Yuan period in premodern China, and the relationship between the literature and cultural memory. I-Chin also combines the techniques of the geographic information system (GIS) to map the urban cities of Song to explore how digital cultures can potentially engage and provide the technique support to theEast Asian studies. Meanwhile, she studies Japanese and interested in intercultural dramas, and observe how such different cultural works recreate the contemporary concerns. Outside of study, I-Chin enjoys writing calligraphy, visiting museum and making miniature arts.
