Doris Rasmussen joined Arizona State University in 1984 with Associated Students, in the Memorial Union building at the Tempe campus.
Mrs. Rasmussen has several years of professional experience in higher education with other departments like the School of Educational Innovation and Teacher Preparation; School of Electrical, Computer, and Energy Engineering; the North American Center for Transborder Studies and the Institute for Interdisciplinary Salivary Bioscience Research. Her previous positions included Administrative Assistant, Administrative Associate, Accountant Associate, Business Operations Specialist Sr., Business Operations Manager Sr., and Director of Fiscal and Business Services.
Mrs. Rasmussen joined the Facilities Development Management department at the Polytechnic campus as a Business Manager on August 31, 2015. Her expertise includes Budget management, event coordination, supervision, Workday, Adaptive Planning, WebTMA, PeopleSoft, Human Resources, Research, Property Control, AssetWorks, Accounts Payables and Receivables, among others.
In 1989, Mrs. Rasmussen received the ASU President Award by J. Russell Nelson, ASU Service Award in 2000 and 2012; the ASU Community Service Award in 2003 for her outstanding work. In 2018 received the President’s Medal Award for Social Embeddedness by President Michael Crow. Mrs. Rasmussen has also received several ASU Sun Awards in 2012, 2014, 2017, 2018 and 2019. She also received several Gold Sustainability Certificates and the Powerhouse Award for Facilities Development Management (FDM) in 2020 for her tremendous customer service in support of FDM students, faculty and staff.
