Leadership in Sports Business Education

Following his executive career at Visa and The Lloyds Banking Group, his consulting work with Olympic sponsors, Smythe has devoted significant time to mentoring students and helping shape sports business education at the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University (ASU).

Working with faculty in the Department of Marketing, he has helped develop experiential learning opportunities that expose students to the business of global sport rather than simply teaching it in the classroom. These initiatives align with ASU's emphasis on combining academic study with real-world industry

engagement.
