Scott Whittaker is a Professor of Practice at Arizona State University and a VP of Information Security at a technology startup in the North East. With 20 years of professional experience in IT, much of that time focused on Information Security, Scott has worked in a number of roles from consulting and as a security analyst to senior leadership. In his current role, Scott focuses on security strategy, capability enhancement, and leadership, as well as risk management and business continuity.
Scott’s academic interests focus on conflict as an expression of global political competition, particularly in the cyber domain, and the relationship between the public and private sectors in defending both critical infrastructure and other sensitive sectors. Scott has a Master of Arts in Global Security from Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Science in Information Security and Risk Management from SUNY, Empire State.
