I am passionate about fostering inclusive environments and championing the success of underrepresented students, I am currently serving as the Director of Outreach for Refugee and Displaced Students support at Arizona State University. With nearly seven years of experience in Educational Outreach and Student Services, I am dedicated to ensuring the retention and graduation of refugee and displaced students, aligning their goals with the university's mission.
In my role, I oversee the planning, direction, and review of activities and operations to support the success of refugee students. I collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement strategic initiatives, ensuring the effective execution of programs and projects. Additionally, I serve as a representative of the university at various state, regional, and national organizations, advocating for the needs of refugee and displaced students.
Prior to my current position, I held roles as an Associate Director in the Dean of Students Office working in Undergraduate Student Government and Off-Campus Housing, where I cultivated positive relationships with community partners and oversaw engagement efforts for off-campus students.
Complementing my professional experience, I hold a Bachelor's degree in Government from the University of Redlands, as well as Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University. Additionally, I am actively involved in volunteer work, serving as the Chairperson of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board for the City of Mesa and as a member of Rotary International.
