I am one of the Graduate Academic Success Advisors for the Master’s in Social Work (MSW) program here at ASU. I grew up in a small town in North Dakota and earned my Bachelor’s in Anthropology from the University of Minnesota. After moving to Arizona, I completed my Master’s in Evolutionary Anthropology at ASU, and along the way I discovered that what I truly love is working directly with students. Now in academic advising, I get to help students navigate their programs and reach their goals every day. I’m also a student myself, currently working on my Master’s in Higher and Postsecondary Education. Outside of advising, I love cooking with my husband, playing The Sims 4, taking care of way too many plants, and reading a wide variety of books.
