Long Bio
Maura Priest is an assistant professor and bioethicist in the department of philosophy in the School of Historical, Philosophical, and Religious Studies. She has a doctorate and master’s in philosophy from University of California-Irvine and a master’s in bioethics from Columbia University, and a certificate in Pediatric Bioethics from Children’s Mercy Hospital. Priest has published more than 20 peer-reviewed articles in ethics, epistemology, political philosophy, and bioethics.
