Long Bio
Katherine is interested in astronomical instrumentation. She is currently studying the Epoch of Reionization via 21cm radio waves, and understanding how instrumental elements affect detections. She earned her Bachelor of Sciences in Physics from Fresno State. During her undergraduate program, she interned for a summer with the LoCo lab at ASU under Dr. Daniel Jacobs, which is what led her to returning to ASU for her PhD. She spent an additional summer interning at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center under Dr. Edward Wallock.
