Asish is an educator, prolific entrepreneur, technology product design consultant, and researcher who brings nearly 25 years of demonstrated success in (1) pursuing academic research; (2) managing mission-critical detector instrumentation and data analytics projects in Europe (CERN), Japan (KEK), and the USA (Stanford University and the University of California at Riverside); and (3) solving real-world problems using innovative solutions via mobile/web applications that he developed. He has published over 400 peer-reviewed high-impact research papers in national and international journals of physics and social science. After a successful 15+years of academic research in experimental particle physics, Asish evangelized customer privacy in target marketing by learning customer behavior anonymously through his first technology startup Zympi Inc. His expertise in technology product innovation using Geographic Information Systems and passion to foster entrepreneurial spirit and creativity have influenced a significant number of business graduates and undergraduates that he taught at various institutes. As a current faculty in the Department of Information Systems at W. P. Carey School of Business, Arizona State University, Asish has been active primarily in teaching, academic research, and innovative curriculum development in the area of data mining and location analytics.
Asish holds a Ph.D. in Experimental Particle Physics from Utkal University, India / High Energy Accelerator Research Organization, Japan, and an MBA in Information Systems & Strategy from the Univ. of California, Irvine.
