With over 15 years of experience in accounting, taxation, financial analysis, and technology, Taylor holds a Master of Taxation and BS in Accountancy from Arizona State University, a Chief Information Officer Certificate from Carnegie Mellon University, and certifications as a CPA, CFA, CAIA, and FRM. Born and raised in Arizona, served a service mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Japan from 2002-2004. An Eagle Scout and die-hard ASU sports fan, he loves the outdoors and spending time with his wife and five children. He volunteers at his church as an instructor and youth leader. His teaching philosophy emphasizes lifelong learning, critical thinking, and collaborative environments. He has instructed at the university level in accounting and taxation, facilitated professional workshops, and created online accounting tutorials. Passionate about entrepreneurship, Taylor serves as Managing Partner at Searle Management, a consulting practice also involved in private equity and venture capital, where he designs accounting and data systems, builds strategic practices, and invests in AI, education, and blockchain startups. Previously, at The Wolff Company, a real estate private equity firm, he advanced through roles including VP of Technology, where he built a proprietary ERP systems and innovations; Director of Business Intelligence, developing data infrastructure for diligence, forecasting, and analytics; Manager of Financial Analysis, recruiting and training analysts while delivering company-wide training; and Tax Accountant, overseeing staff recruitment and training. Earlier in his career, he gained foundational experience in public accounting at RSM McGladrey, performing tax compliance for real estate partnerships, conducting analysis and research, and implementing internal training programs.
