Mark Hopkins focuses on communication systems, operational documentation, workflow organization, and improving how information is structured, managed, and shared across complex environments. His background spans research administration, project coordination, technical communication, design, and digital systems support across academic, nonprofit, and small business settings.
Previously, Mark supported research operations at Duke University Medical Center, where he coordinated proposals, tracked financial activity, maintained regulatory documentation, and supported more than 20 active research projects. Earlier in his career, he held leadership and management roles with The Estée Lauder Companies, supporting brand operations, training initiatives, and artistry communication for the Estée Lauder brand Bobbi Brown Professional Cosmetics.
At Arizona State University, Mark’s academic and project work has increasingly focused on information architecture, usability, structured content, content strategy, and human-centered communication systems. Through interdisciplinary experiences, including the Responsible Innovation Lab at the School for the Future of Innovation in Society, and the Future17 Sustainable Development Goals Challenge, he has developed a strong interest in how communication, technology, and organizational systems intersect to help people navigate complexity and create meaningful change.
Mark is currently completing a Bachelor of Science in Technical Communication at Arizona State University. His interests include communication systems, information architecture, UX/content strategy, structured knowledge, and the intersection of technology, people, and organizational systems.
