Angelica Islas-Mohr brings over 20 years of experience in education across K–12 and higher education settings. She currently serves as a Clinical Placement Specialist, where she plays a vital role in connecting both in-person and online pre-health students with clinical internship opportunities. In this capacity, Angelica develops and maintains partnerships with a diverse range of medical sites, facilitates student onboarding, and ensures meaningful, hands-on experiences that support students’ academic and career goals.
Angelica began her career as a primary educator in Arizona’s public schools, specializing in English Language Learners and providing professional development to fellow educators in English Language Development. She also led multiple committees dedicated to student academic support and family engagement.
Following her graduate studies, Angelica transitioned to higher education, where she advised adult learners, coordinated individualized course plans, and trained newly hired advisors. Her comprehensive background in both K–12 and university environments has shaped her commitment to supporting learners at all stages of their educational journey.
