I have over 20 years of experience in the field of education. Professionally, I was an educator in the primary level of the Arizona public school system, and taught English Language Learners. I had the honor of training fellow educators in newly established English Language Development concepts and lead multiple committees pertaining to student academic support and family involvement. After pursuing a graduate program, I changed career paths. I then served the adult learner community at the university level. This position entailed enrolling and advising adults needing individual courses for career and educational purposes. In that capacity, I had additional experience training newly hired advisors. As a Placement Specialist, I now have the pleasure of serving the Pre-Health community of students at Arizona State University. My daily objective is to place internship-seeking students with an appropriate medical site for a semester-long, clinical experience and continuously establish new site agreements. It is my life-long goal to support learners of any capacity and level, as I am well-versed in the educational process.
