Long Bio
Victoria is a Master's student in the Biology and Society program's 4E (Ecology, Economics, and Ethics of the Environment) track. She is evaluating the global ecological and regulatory implications of turtle excluder devices in shrimp trawl fisheries as part of an exploration of the intersection of fisheries technology and marine conservation. Her research also involves annually traveling to the island of El Pardito in Mexico's Sea of Cortez to work directly with artisanal fishing communities and explore the human dimensions of small-scale fishery operations.
