Long Bio
I received my MA in 2020 from George Mason University (located in Fairfax, VA) and moved to Arizona later that year to pursue my PhD in Anthropology here at ASU. I am interested in the bioarchaeology of identity on the north coast of Peru. My current research investigates the impact of intersectional social identities on lived experience in the Middle Sicán, a pre-contact culture located in the Lambayeque Valley Complex of Peru. Previous research has investigated gender identity and ideology on the north coast through time (Sargent and Klaus, in prep.).
I enjoy knitting, playing the piano, and exploring the beautiful Arizona wilderness.
