Long Bio
Nicholas Shea is an assistant professor of music theory in the School of Music, Dance and Theatre. He primarily investigates how musicians conceptualize and generate music's organizational components through performance, focusing explicitly on kinesthetics, cognitive load, and group consensus. His analysis techniques include behavioral experiments, corpus studies, and theoretical analysis.
