Kyle Ramsay is a Future Security Initiative (FSI) Professor of Practice in the School of Politics and Global Studies at Arizona State University. He served 16 years as an Infantry Soldier and Officer with the Canadian Armed Forces, and transitioned to work for other agencies within Canada's national security community. He has deployed as a military advisor to command, advise, and execute counterinsurgency (COIN), Foreign Internal Defense (FID), and Security Force Assistance (SFA) taskings, working in close partnership with host nation forces and NATO allies.

His current research interests include weaponization of the information space; the utility of persistent defense, diplomacy, and military assistance (DDMA) operations as an instrument of national security policy; complex humanitarian emergencies; and societal resilience.
