Kyle Ramsay is a Future Security Initiative (FSI) Professor of Practice in the School of Politics and Global Studies at Arizona State University. He served 17 years as an Army soldier, officer and public servant with the Canadian government. He has deployed as a military advisor to command, advise, and execute counterinsurgency (COIN), Foreign Internal Defence (FID), and Security Force Assistance (SFA) taskings, working in close partnership with host nation forces and NATO allies.

Research Interests
His current research interests include the utility of persistent defense, diplomacy, and military assistance (DDMA) operations as an instrument of national security policy; complex humanitarian emergencies; societal resilience; and weaponization of the information space.
