Matthew Kroot is an assistant professor in the School of Human Evolution and Social Change. He is an archaeologist whose theoretical and methodological interests include political economy in past societies, stone tool analysis, and collaborative and community-based research methods. He has conducted fieldwork in western North America, West Africa, and the Middle East.
