Kimberly has been in the education field for over 30 years in Arizona. In June, she celebrated her 20 year anniversary at Arizona State University with Arizona PBS. As Director - Education & Community Impact for Arizona PBS, she currently serves as the principal investigator the First Things First (FTF) Arizona Early Childhood Workplace & Professional Development Registry and FTF College Scholarships grants, the FTF Yuma Regional Partnership Grants for Early Literacy, and national PBS projects localized for Arizona PBS LearningMedia, sustained activities with PBS Ready to Learn, along with other community outreach efforts related to national and local PBS efforts on behalf of families, children, educators and students in PreK-12. Currently Kimberly volunteers for the National PBS Education Advisory Board and Community Engagement Panel. She also was recently selected as a mentor with the ASU Commission on the Status of Women Fall 2021 cohort. Kimberly has served as Chairman and Vice Chairman for the First Things First Southwest Maricopa Regional Partnership Council. She is past State President of AzTEA, the Arizona Technology in Education Association (AzTEA). She has been a classroom special educator, directed a school learning center, and served as the local grant coordinator for 2 national secondary inclusion grants. Kimberly has acquired over 30M in grants from First Things First Regional Partnership Councils, the Steele Foundation, Native American Public Television, Corporation for Public Broadcasting, CenturyLink, the Qwest Foundation for Education (now CenturyLink), PBS TeacherLine, WETA, WGBH, WNET, ITVS, KCET, and the AZ Department of Education in her work with Arizona PBS and the ISTE affiliate, AzTEA.
