Roger Konicke III is a Faculty Associate in the Nonprofit Leadership and Management program within the School of Community Resources and Development at Arizona State University. He is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Education and holds a Master of Nonprofit Leadership and Management from Arizona State University.
Prior to entering academia, Roger served in the United States Marine Corps, where he developed a leadership philosophy centered on leading by example, intentional mentorship, and inspiring individuals to exceed perceived limitations. His military experience included supervisory, instructional, and operational leadership roles, all of which inform his approach to teaching and student engagement.
In addition to his academic work, Roger serves as the Executive Director of a nonprofit animal welfare organization, where he leads organizational strategy, program development, and governance. His professional and teaching interests include nonprofit leadership, organizational effectiveness, governance, and the application of management theory to real-world nonprofit practice, with a particular emphasis on preparing students for leadership roles through applied, practice-informed learning.
